The Webbys, hailed as "The most prestigious award in the world" by the BBC, is the global index of success for interactive work. The 10th Annual Webby Awards drew 5,500 entries from over 40 countries and from all 50 States, an over 30% growth from 2005.

This year, the Webbys are doing even more to reach the global community through the new Webby International Ambassador Program. Webby Ambassadors are a group of passionate Internet supporters, creatives, and entrepreneurs in 15 countries, serving as a "voice on the ground" in their area.

Karine Blommaert and Christian Daems Co-Founders CMS-Channel Founded in 2005, CMS-Channel® is an independent consultancy company specializing in Content Management Systems (CMS) and Online Marketing. They are vendor-neutral and guide their customers in a pragmatic way during CMS & Online Marketing projects, delivering strategic advice and selection guidance. As neutral experts, they guide you through the world of Web Content Management, Document Management Systems, Product & Catalog Content Management Systems, Digital Asset Management Systems, Product Information Systems, Enterprise Content Management Systems, Portals, etc. They also provide advice about Enterprise Search, Search Engine Marketing and issues, email marketing, web analytics, personalisation, and usability. CMS-Channel® has also expertise in idTV Marketing & Strategy. Previously, Karine worked for leading companies such as Inve, MediaGenix & Altrex. She has worked for the Congress & Travel Department of Pfizer Belgium. She holds a degree in social law with a specialization in Communication. Christian graduated from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) with a Masters in Computer Science with great distinction. He specializes in web content management, working for several years as a project manager on digital TV and content management projects. He is also a subsidy advisor and writer for Flemish ICT companies applying for ICT-related grants from the Flemish Government (IWT). Karine and Christian are the founders of the CMS-Awards™, Belgium's leading award honoring websites based on a CMS (content management system) & CMS projects. They are delighted to be the Webby Ambassadors for Belgium, and are thrilled about increasing Belgian participation in the 11th Webby Awards. They absolutely want to share the Belgian creativity in on-line advertising, online campaigns, viral marketing campaigns with an international audience.
