Webby International Ambassador Program

The Webbys, hailed as "The most prestigious award in the world" by the BBC, is the global index of success for interactive work. The 10th Annual Webby Awards drew 5,500 entries from over 40 countries and from all 50 States, an over 30% growth from 2005.

This year, the Webbys are doing even more to reach the global community through the new Webby International Ambassador Program. Webby Ambassadors are a group of passionate Internet supporters, creatives, and entrepreneurs in 15 countries, serving as a "voice on the ground" in their area.

Please contact Webby Ambassadors if you're interested in partnership, participating in a Webby event abroad, or if you are an entrant and need any foreign language assistance.

Entries for The Webby Awards from every country are accepted here at webbyawards.com.

Nicolas Roope

Co-Founder
Poke, London

From leading creative practitioner and cofounder of Antirom in 1995, through to creative director roles at Oven Digital and Poke, Nicolas has always looked beyond industry rhetoric to the inspiring truths of interactive networked media, a passion driving his career in the business spanning the last eleven years. This period has been punctuated with success stories and awards recognizing his contribution.

Nicolas jointly set up Poke in 2001 after heavy industry fallout. Since then, he has creatively and strategically driven numerous high profile accounts and self-initiated projects, picking up world class awards along the way. He is a frequent contributor to ICON and Design Week, and his work and ideas have been widely distributed through the on and off-line worlds.

Nicolas also founded the Pokia / Hulger project (www.hulger.com), another creative slant on technology, but in this instance physical.
