National Geographic garnered Webby Awards celebrating their commitment to excellence in photography with a Webby Award for Best Use of Photography in Social and a People’s Voice Award for Best Use of Photography for Websites. They were also awarded Webby Awards in Cinematic or Pre-rendered in 360 and Virtual Reality for The Long Road Home, Best Word & Trivia Game for Geo Quiz Alexa Skill, Best Youth Website for National Geographic Kids and two Webby Awards and two People’s Voice Awards for Hummingbirds in Best Visual Design – Aesthetic (Mobile) and Best use of Video or Moving Image (Websites).
With more than 13,000 works entered from all 50 US states and over 60 countries around the world and 3 million votes in the Webby People’s Voice Awards, the 22nd Annual Webby Awards is the biggest in our history and continues to be the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.
To best highlight the great work being made on the Internet by media companies and brand studios worldwide, the 22nd Annual Webby Awards introduced Media Company of the Year—a Special Achievement Award for media companies with the most shortlists and nominations across categories.
