THE CHALLENGE

To transform Farm Africa’s visual identity and digital presence to better communicate the transformational impact of its work and, therefore, increase donations. We saw the opportunity to push the brand in a direction that differentiated Farm Africa from the 'charity appeal' approach taken by many other organisations.

THE SOLUTION

We began by writing a new brand narrative and core messaging that was suitably powerful and emotive, but with a uniquely hopeful tone of voice. The visual identity followed suit, harnessing the energy and positivity of African culture through the use of colour, patterns and iconography. We brought the brand to life online with an energetic animation style, using a combination of Lottie and CSS animations. The website itself, as with all of our sites, was designed from scratch in Figma and custom-built in WordPress on WPEngine. The majority of the site is built out with a wide array of modular blocks and sections that can be customised to accommodate any content type.

THE RESULTS

A high-impact site with a clear and powerful narrative supported by an immersive digital experience. Storytelling is weaved throughout the site in order to make an emotional connection with the audience and therefore drive donations. This has resulted in a massive 94% increase in donations through the site. This represents a huge amount of additional funding to power Farm Africa's transformational programmes across Africa. We were delighted to hear these early results and are confident that our ongoing relationship will only improve these numbers year on year.

Libby Plumb, Head of Communications at Farm Africa

"We were blown away by the new visual identity, whilst the website has been positively received by all our audiences and we are really pleased to see an uptick in online giving."
