The Challenge
LUMA Vision, a pioneering medical device company, sought to establish a brand identity that would accurately represent their commitment to innovation, professionalism, and scientific credibility. Their mission—to provide cardiologists and electrophysiologists with evidence-based insights into patient well-being through advanced healthcare technologies—needed a brand that would resonate with stakeholders and clearly communicate their groundbreaking product offerings, such as VERAFEYE. Faced with the need to differentiate themselves in a competitive market and expand into global markets, LUMA Vision required a digital platform that effectively communicated their value proposition while enhancing stakeholder engagement.
The Solution
WONDR embarked on a strategic partnership with LUMA Vision, utilising their bespoke LAB+ process to develop a brand identity and digital ecosystem that aligned seamlessly with the company's vision and values. Despite the initial challenge of creating a brand identity without a finalised name, WONDR’s innovative approach allowed for the simultaneous development of a design system that embodied LUMA Vision’s ethos of dimensional data and insight. This was visualised through a layered panel design, creating depth and adaptability across both
digital and print media. WONDR crafted a brand that was not only visually striking but also scientifically credible, ensuring that the new identity would be ownable by the LUMA Vision team. The new website, hosted on a dedicated WP Engine PaaS solution, prioritised consistency, intuitive navigation, and a seamless content flow. It provided a clear explanation of LUMA Vision’s advanced product offerings and their benefits, effectively engaging stakeholders and setting the stage for the company’s expansion into the US market.
The Results
The launch of the new LUMA Vision brand and website was a resounding success. The site
achieved a remarkable 94% Performance score, with a swift load speed of 205 ms to first byte. Within the first year, the website attracted 13,000 new visitors, with 11,000 of those coming through organic search—a testament to the effective communication of LUMA Vision’s value proposition. Out of 39,000 total pageviews, 17,000 visitors engaged with the homepage, while 4,500 explored the Innovations page, highlighting the effectiveness of the new design in capturing and retaining visitor interest. The rebranding and digital overhaul not only differentiated LUMA Vision from its competitors but also enhanced its appeal to potential investors, partners, and collaborators, significantly supporting their strategic goal of expanding into the US market.
