Q: Can you briefly describe your project and the concept behind it?

A: The task was to create a brand home and e-commerce store for Pantheone Audio – a smart speaker. Inspired by the brand pillars, Art, Form & Sound we focused on creating a non-traditional, aesthetically-beautiful website that intentionally focused on expressing craft and thoughtful design.

Q: Once you settled on your idea, what influenced your decision on the chosen technical approach? How did it differ or go beyond approaches you’ve taken in the past?

A: We found that WebFlow offered us the creative ability to tell the brand narrative along with providing the fundamental capabilities needed for an e-commerce site.

Q: What were some of your biggest learning and takeaways from this project?

A: We discovered that e-commerce websites can be reimagined in many ways and can go beyond simple functionalities. By drawing the user into the brand narrative through visually appealing design and imagery we would allow them to buy into the brand as well as explore the product.

Q: What web technologies, approaches, tools, or resources did you use to develop this experience (WordPress, headless, AI, Sublime Text, HTML5, Adobe XD, etc)?

A: Along with using Webflow, in development we also made use of Jquery, GSAP, GSAP Smoothscroller and Ecommerce.

Q: How did the final product meet or exceed your expectations? What results did you see?

A: We are very proud of the end result of this project, but such is the nature of digital projects – this brand home and e-commerce store will continue to evolve through iterations that improve the user journey and experience.

Q: Why is this an exciting time to create new digital experiences? How does your team fit into this?

A: Living in a world where we are surrounded by digital clutter, there is a greater importance placed on being authentic and telling a true narrative that resonates with the consumer. Harnessing our team’s specialities, and unique perspective and approach assisted us in creating something that stands out from the clutter, but is also meticulously crafted.

Q: How did you reach a good balance of your own creative ideas and technical capabilities with a fair representation of the client’s brand?

A: Through an initial ideation process, we did extensive research and workshopping to ensure we were aligned with the client and we were able to lock down the art direction. This collaborative effort helped us to establish a path that assisted the project in flowing smoothly.

Q: What did your initial moodboard, wireframe, or prototype look like? How did those ideas change throughout the design process?

A: Once we aligned with the client on the initial direction, our end result was in a similar realm to what was first discussed and agreed upon, leading to a successful project outcome.
