A key theme throughout our work is bringing users together from all over the world to experience together. We dialed this up in Secret Sky, allowing thousands of users from all over the world to experience the festival concurrently together.- Active Theory Team
A key challenge in a multiplayer, interactive experience is designing and laying out the space. We needed to avoid making the space too big (as it could feel empty and spread out) but also too small (as it would feel crammed and lacking scale). For Secret Sky, our auditorium would instance, recreating itself over and over, as new users joined, ensuring there was always a good amount of users in the environment at once.
