THE CHALLENGE

TransLash is a grassroots journalism organization and the leading source for trusted information on the trans experience in the United States. As a Black, trans, and queer-led organization, TransLash uses the power of storytelling to shift culture and save lives. But despite their growing influence, their digital presence didn’t yet reflect the vibrancy, impact, and rising reputation of their work. They came to Briteweb for support with developing a dynamic new brand and digital experience—one that would truly embody the spirit of their community and help elevate their profile from grassroots journalism to a reputable media company. As their work expanded, they needed a platform that could support a growing library of multimedia content, reflect the intersectionality of their mission, and invite deeper engagement from a broad and diverse audience.

THE SOLUTION

As the organization grew, it needed a more cohesive organizational voice, a strong brand to carry that voice forward, and a fully reimagined web experience to showcase and organize TransLash’s extensive, award-winning media library. Briteweb collaborated with TransLash to reimagine their brand and redesign their website from the ground up. We built a digital experience that spotlights podcasts, videos, and editorial content—bringing clarity and ease to a site with many access points. The new site architecture helps users explore a wide range of topics while staying grounded in TransLash’s core mission. The custom WordPress build ensures long-term scalability, with flexible modules that empower the team to evolve the site as their storytelling grows.

THE RESULTS

The redesigned website is a vibrant reflection of TransLash’s voice and values. It creates an immersive and intuitive experience for users to connect with powerful stories, while also supporting the team’s content publishing workflows. The new digital platform strengthens TransLash’s ability to reach and activate its audience, offering a centralized hub where advocacy, information, and identity converge.
