1. Have your work seen by the best.
Webby Winners are selected by a community of artists, innovators, and creators spanning all facets of digital culture. When you enter The Webbys, your work is seen by our judging body, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).
Judges include DeRay Mckesson, Activist & Host of Pod Save the People; Yann Le Cun, VP & Chief AI Scientist, Facebook; Anne Munition, Gamer & Twitch Livestreamer; Jesse Williams (pictured), Actor/Activist and Founder of BLeBRiTY; Laurie Segall, Senior Technology Correspondent, CNN; and Eva Chen, Head of Fashion Partnerships, Instagram. Plus, ad world superstars like Linda Boff, Chief Marketing Officer, GE; Colleen DeCourcy, Global Co-Executive Creative Director of Wieden & Kennedy; and David Droga, Creative Chairman & Founder, Droga5.
2. No matter what you make, stand out.
The Webbys recognizes the entire breadth of the Internet. Whether you run a global lifestyle website or create a groundbreaking social ad campaign, as the Internet grows, so does the incredible amount of technology, content, and experiences that deserve to be honored. We celebrate all outstanding digital work across Websites, Video, Advertising, Media & PR, Mobile, Apps, and Voice, Social, Podcasts, and Games.
3. There are now even more ways to win.
The Internet is always changing—and so is The Webbys. To better recognize the incredible innovation we’re seeing online, this year we’ve added an entirely new suite of Voice categories, including honors for: Games and Entertainment, Productivity, Best User Experience, Food and Drinks, and Business & Finance.
Plus a dedicated category suite for Social Content Series & Campaigns, including: Arts & Entertainment, Travel, News & Politics—and beyond. (Read about this year’s new categories here.)
4. Make yourself a household name.
Last year’s Webbys generated over 13 billion media impressions globally—that’s a lot of buzz. The attention that comes with winning a Webby also wins you new clients, bolsters start-ups, and makes the world aware of your great work. Be part of it.
5. Let the world vote on your work.
In the spirit of the open Internet, all Webby Nominees also compete for public votes in The Webby People’s Voice Awards. People’s Voice generates millions of votes and page views every year! What better way to expose your great work to the world?
6. Mark your spot in history.
We’ve been honoring the very best of the Internet since 1997. Our Winners range from iconic early Web throwbacks, to recent viral sensations, to powerhouse digital icons that have withstood the test of time. Claim your place alongside past winners like Google, Airbnb, National Corndog Day, The New Yorker, Fortnite, Monument Valley, MoMA, SuperDeluxe, and more. Help us continue celebrating the most innovative, creative, and transformative work that shapes the online zeitgeist.
7. Give a signature 5-Word Speech.
Not only do Webby Winners get to celebrate their victory at the Internet’s biggest party in New York City, they get to immortalize their win with a 5-word acceptance speech. Five words might not seem like a lot, but the speeches have become Internet icons—Webby Awards clips have received over 14 million views on YouTube. (Watch 5-Word Speech moments from the 22nd Annual Webby Awards here!)
8. You can’t win if you don’t enter
Your great work can’t be celebrated if our judges don’t see it. The Final Entry Deadline for The 23rd Annual Webbys is Friday, December 14, 2018. Submit your work today!
