Overwrite TomorrowBringing together the brightest minds in the industry to discuss the future of the Internet through virtual events, Webby Talks and proprietary research.
To celebrate the 25th Annual Webby Awards, the Webbys are launching Overwrite Tomorrow; a brand new virtual event and editorial series that kicks off this October. Our community will come together to consider the future of the Internet in the series of entertaining and informative events, presentations, podcast episodes and our new trend report.
This year marks our 25th anniversary. It also marks a time during which we’re all navigating rapid change. Throughout this turbulent time, the Internet has accelerated to become the tool that holds us together—while shedding light on systems that need to change. Since March, we’ve seen phenomenal innovation across the world, from the invention of new platforms, sites and virtual experiences to products that meet real world needs. The impact of this moment on our industry is enormous and we will be bringing together the individuals, companies and groups who are using their platforms to create a better Internet and a better future.
The talks and events will be focused around the findings of our new Webby Trend Report: Overwrite Tomorrow: How the global pandemic created an indispensable Internet, and ignited the urgency to build a better future.
Our Overwrite Event series will be returning in Jan 2021 for How We Entertain & How We Connect, we can’t wait to see you there!

About Virtual Events, Talks & Trend Report
2020 Webby Talks Series
The Webby Awards team will be visiting over 200 companies and organizations virtually with this year’s Webby Talks trend: Overwrite Tomorrow: How the global pandemic created an indispensable Internet, and ignited the urgency to build a better future. Our speakers will dive into how a global slow down and our accelerated use of the Internet has bred digital innovation across sectors like education, work, entertainment, activism, and more—and how we can use these changes to build a more equitable future using the Internet.
As always, the Webby Talks presentations will be memorable, thought-provoking, and entertaining. To learn more and book a talk, contact our Webby Talks Producer Esther Hoff at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Webby Trend Report
The Overwrite series kicks off with our 2020 Webby Report: Overwrite Tomorrow. Just released, the trend report explores how the global pandemic and slow down have changed our use of the Internet, accelerating digital innovation across various industries. Surveying nearly 3,000 consumers with our partners YouGov, we zero in on key findings, as well as interviews with industry leaders on how they’ve pivoted during this time to build a more equitable world using the Internet.
Overwrite Virtual Event Series
Kicking off this October, The Webby Awards will host a series of Overwrite virtual events. Overwrite will look at how this theme impacts the following sectors: Activism and Advocacy, Community and Connection, Education, Entertainment, and Health and Wellness. Speakers will be announced soon. For more information and for your invitation, sign up to our newsletter here.
