Every Fall, The Webby Awards Executive Team takes Webby Talks on the road to meet the people making the Internet all over the world. Each speaker has presented to hundreds of groups from as small as 10 and as large as 200.
Claire Graves
President | @ClaireGravesAs President of The Webby Media Group Claire leads a team dedicated to celebrating the very best of the Internet each year.
Claire started her career running around the streets of SoHo in London Advertising industry. Before moving to New York she managed the strategic design and build of brand websites and communications for consumer brands like The Guardian, The BBC, Skype, Orange, Topshop and the children’s charity Barnardo’s at the digital agency Poke London.
A History graduate from Edinburgh University, Claire proudly hails from Adelaide, South Australia. She now lives in Brooklyn with her partner Jonathan, their baby Frankie and Omar, the dog. Her favorite yoga pose is savasana.
Steve Marchese
Chief Production Officer | @SteveMarcheseAs Chief Production Officer at Webby Media Group, Steve has led production duties on fourteen live Webby Awards cycles and this year’s digital Webbys From Home.
He has also been fortunate to lead a number of initiatives including Internet Week New York, Internet Week Europe, The Lovie Awards, and the Architizer A+ Awards for Recognition Media. He oversees production on the live Webby show, new digital builds, content creation, sponsorship executions and more.
Steve lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son and recently wrapped up production on his first short film, Better Half. He spends part of his free time putting together playlists for his website, oneplaylistaday.com
Jeff Zemetis
Creative Director | @JZemsAs Creative Director at The Webby Awards, Jeff is responsible for all the breadth of creative produced by The Webby Awards, from the annual ceremony campaign, to the videos featured on stage, to the Call for Entries poster and The Webby People’s Voice campaign.
Emma Whitfield
Production & Experience Director
As Production & Experience Director of The Webby Awards, Emma works on creating a seamless experience for our Webby community and entrants. She is responsible for producing on all events that contribute to the Webby community experience, including: 5-Word Speech Day, Sunset Cocktails and The Webby Awards After Party. She also manages The Webby Awards internship program and leads other key entrant marketing programs. Before joining the team in 2015, Emma interned for The Emmy Awards, Entertainment Tonight and The Lovie Awards.
Emma is a graduate from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. She loves to encourage her co-workers to join in Webby workouts and fun team-building activities. A native of England, Emma moved to the states when she was young and now resides in Brooklyn.
