(New York, NY) – May 3, 2010 – Actor, writer and comedian B.J. Novak of NBC’s “The Office” will host the 14th Annual Webby Awards on June 14th in New York City, organizers announced today.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards honor the year’s best Websites, ads, and mobile sites, as well as special achievement honorees, including Lifetime Achievement, Artist of the Year, Person of the Year, and Best Actress.

Beyond acting, writing, and co-executive producing NBC’s “The Office,” Novak recently appeared in the acclaimed Quentin Tarantino film, “Inglourious Basterds.”

As host of the star-studded ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street, Novak will be responsible for ensuring that all winners stick to the Webby Awards’ famous five-word speech limit. Speeches and highlights from the ceremony will be broadcast on the Webby Awards YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/thewebbyawards.

While Academy judges like Martha Stewart, David Bowie, and Arianna Huffington will select Webby Awards winners, millions of people around the world will also help decide who takes home a Webby by voting in The Webby People’s Voice Awards. Fans have until April 29th to vote at http://webby.aol.com..

Winners for the 14th Annual Webby Awards will be unveiled on May 4, 2010.
