Companies have been separated by their respective industries; The Webby Agency Index highlights the world’s best advertising agencies with the most projects honored in the 24th Annual Webby Awards. In addition, we’ve highlighted a few pieces of work created by each of the featured companies. HOW IT WORKS: We analyzed which industries were most represented during the 24th Annual Webby Awards, and ranked the top five companies produced the highest performing work. Since 1997, creative work honored at The Webby Awards have set the standard for innovation and use of new technologies in marketing. To reflect this growth, our index ranks the top 5 agencies honored. *Companies are listed with the highest-performing agencies top to bottom.
BBDO New York leads the competition with 13 wins, 11 nominations, and 4 honors, moving up from its second place ranking in our previous index. During the 24th Annual Webby Awards, agencies competed with a wide range of work, most notably with advertising campaigns, as well as a few interactive experiences.
The Best Agencies
1. BBDO New York
Coming in at the top of the list is BBDO New York, the 2020 Webby Agency of the Year. With 13 collective wins, 11 nominations and 4 total honors, BBDO swept the competition with outstanding projects like The New Yorker Caption Contest (Webby and People’s Voice Winner for Promotions & Contests in Social, THINX – MENstruation, and more.
2. McCann New York
Close behind, McCann New York also produced some of the year’s best digital marketing. Check out a few standout projects from the agency, like Generation Lockdown, and Changing The Game, a multiple 2020 Webby and People’s Voice Winner in Games. Even more, McCann Worldgroup was named the 2020 Webby Network of the Year.
3. Droga5
The award-winning agency is no stranger to great Internet. At the 24th Annual Webby Awards, Droga5 took home honors for projects like The Truth Is Worth It, 2020 Webby Winner for Best Video Campaign, and Quest For The Throne.
4. R/GA
