You’ve been building, designing, creating. This year marks 30 years of The Webbys, three decades of shaping Internet culture. Now it’s your turn to step onto the global stage. With hundreds of categories (and some fresh new ones), there’s a place waiting for your work. Here’s your guide to finding it.
Step 1: Find Your Media Type
Start broad. The Webbys accepts work across eight media types: Websites & Mobile Sites, Video & Film, Advertising, Media & PR, Podcasts, Social & Games, Apps, Software & Immersive, Creators, and new this year, AI.
Pro tip: Projects can live in more than one media type. Don’t be afraid to enter across categories if your work spans multiple formats!
Step 2: Find Your Project Type
Once you know your media type, identify the product you created to select the best category for your project. Under each media type, the categories are designed to recognize the Internet’s full scope. Whether that’s Craft (Best AI Technical Achievement or Best Social Video Series) or specific niches (Art & Culture, Business & Finance, Entertainment or Meme and more).
Identify your project’s strengths and look at the category descriptions to find honors that best define your work.
Step 3: See Your Fit in Our New Categories
We’re living through a digital shift, and our categories evolve with it. No matter your lane, there’s a space to honor your creativity. We’re introducing brand-new recognitions in Artificial Intelligence, including AI Experiences & Applications, with categories for Arts & Culture, Marketing or Branding, and Productivity & Work Tools, and AI Features & Innovation, with recognition for Best AI Agent, Best Product or Service, and Best Responsible AI Implementation.
The 30th Annual Webby Awards will also celebrate the creator excellence with a new suite in Creator Business, featuring Creator Launch or Drop and Multi-Creator Campaign.
We’re also expanding honors in Podcasts, with Best New Podcast and Best Video Podcast Host, and in expanded Social & Games, with Best Social Video Series and Best Community Engagement. Wherever you create, there’s a place for you in the legacy of the Webby Awards.
Step 4: Set Up a Webby Account
Don’t lose your work! Once you’ve submitted 5+ entries, you’ll be prompted automatically. But we recommend setting one up early. It keeps your submissions and payment history organized, and the entry site will keep your work in the cache in case you accidentally leave your browser.
Step 5: Know Your Role (Agency, Internal, PR)
You’ll notice that while entering, we’ll ask you to define “Your Role.” Why do we ask this? It is so we can credit you properly in our Winners Gallery (yes, we’re manifesting your win already). Here’s the breakdown:
- Agency work is made on the behalf of a client.
- Internal work is used by the company or brand which created it.
- PR firms submit work for the clients they represent.
