Essentials for an Inclusive Internet
Event Details
The Webby Awards has partnered with the NAACP to convene industry leaders to explore the most pressing issues facing communities of color online, and provide actionable insights into how we as a whole can better advocate and work towards building a more inclusive internet. The Internet has become one of the most effective tools to carve spaces for creativity, connect communities to one another and necessary resources and opportunities. However the Internet and digital platforms are still struggling to address issues that are negatively impacting communities of color, from universal broadband access and the digital divide, to the use of social platforms to remedy current cracks in the educational system. Our series will explore these issues, speak with advocates who are actively working in tech and digital spaces to address and provide steps we can all take into our lives to be better advocates online.
