The Webby Awards will be hosting events in a number of different cities this year for our Webby Community, including event series with partners like Omidyar, NAACP and WP Engine.     UNPCKD: Essentials for Turning Engagement into Action

    The Webbys and NAACP have partnered together on an exclusive virtual event series navigating the important role technology can play in encouraging civic engagement, particularly in regards to BIPOC and under-represented communities.

    Our first event, entitled UNPCKD: Essentials for turning Online Engagement into Civic Action, will do a deep dive into how we can use technology to encourage voters to become consistent in their civic engagement. Please join us for this exciting discussion as well as our future events covering topics including designing an online revolution and responding to crises online with key leaders from organizations like NAACP and GLAAD.

    The Webbys and NAACP are joined by GLAAD, who are on the front lines of using platforms for activism, and sharing socially-impactful content. The discussion will include rapid response strategies, curating content, the dos and don’ts in community engagement and how to support the mental health of our frontline social media teams.
