Roy Wood Jr. is back to host the Internet’s biggest night! In an exclusive with the Hollywood Reporter, it was announced that the talented comedian, producer, and podcaster will take the Webby stage once again, following his phenomenal performance during last year’s show. Doing what he does best, Wood entertained viewers with his signature wit and humor. From delivering his monologue with charisma to hilariously introducing Big Bird and closing the night with an unforgettable song, Wood made last year’s show the best yet.

Known for his segments in “The Daily Show,” and his iconic set “Imperfect Messenger,” Wood’s keen eye for humor is evident. He’s even taken his talents to audio, heard in his podcasts “Roy Job’s Fair” and “Beyond the Scenes” with Comedy Central. Starring in the film Confess, Fletch is another project under his belt, along with serving as a producer for “Only Murders in the Building,” “Better Call Saul,” “Space Force,” “The Last O.G.,” and the documentary “The Neutral Ground”—which snagged him an Emmy nomination for his role as executive producer. From his first Comedy Central specials, “Father Figure” and “No One Loves You,” it was evident that Wood is a force in comedy, as the latter still stands as the network’s highest-rated original.

A Special Message from Roy Wood Jr.
Host of the 27th Annual Webby Awards

The Best of Roy Wood Jr

We’re excited to announce that Roy Wood Jr. of “The Daily Show” is back to host the 27th Annual Webby Awards show on May 15th in New York City!

Guest Hosting "The Daily Show"

Recently, Wood can be seen joining the line-up of stars that were called on to guest-host “The Daily Show.” His set held some of his best work yet, all with the goal of going viral for his quips. Previous host, Jon Stewart, also joined him to share some tips on getting closer to virality.

Empathetically but Playfully Holding Space on Roy’s Job Fair

Each week, on “Roy’s Job Fair,” Wood sits down with a guest to chronicle happenings from all lines of work. From in-office friends and foes to antics outside the office, he uses his famed humor to help his guests air out their professional grievances.

Hilarious Deep Dives in Beyond the Scenes

Offering a close breakdown of segments from the show, Wood is joined by Daily Show writers, producers, correspondents, and external experts in Beyond the Scenes. It’s an audio journey into the bits and sketches that make the show.

Starred in “Confess, Fletch” alongside Jon Hamm

In the feature film “Confess, Fletch,” Wood assumes the role of detective Morris Monroe as he follows Fletch, played by Jon Hamm, who is the prime suspect in a murder. It’s an action-packed tale of uncovering a heist and a murder where Wood leaves his usual levity—showcasing his true range as a performer.
