WHY: Organizers today announced that The 14th Annual Webby Awards will be held in New York City in June 14, 2010.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including websites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile websites.

The star-studded 13th Annual Webby Awards, held in June 2009, featured Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Jimmy Fallon, Cameron Diaz, Trent Reznor, Sarah Silverman, Lisa Kudrow, Martha Stewart, Charlie Rose, and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.

The 14th Annual Webby Awards will mark the culmination of Internet Week New York 2010, which will return to New York for its third year from June 7th to June 14th.
