New York, NY (April 9, 2009) Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers will return for his second year as host of the 13th Annual Webby Awards on June 8th in New York City, organizers announced today.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.

Meyers, Saturday Night Live’s head writer and anchor of the show’s legendary “Weekend Update” segment, made his Webby-hosting debut last year. This year, he will once again be responsible for ensuring that all winners stick to the Webby Awards’ famous five-word speech limit.

“It’s a privilege to once again play a role in honoring the two percent of the Internet that’s not porn-driven,” said Meyers.

“We’re thrilled to have Seth back and look forward to another fun and unpredictable night with him at the helm,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director of The Webby Awards. “His unique combination of irreverence and classiness make him a perfect fit for the Webby Awards.”

Nominees for the 13th Annual Webby Awards will be unveiled on April 14th, 2009 and winners will be honored at a star-studded ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
