(New York, NY) – April 27, 2010 – A dynamic new campaign by Tribal DBB Worldwide, Official Creative Partner of the 14th Annual Webby Awards, has resulted in more than 540,000 votes cast to date in this year’s Webby People’s Voice Awards, setting a pace to double the record set in previous years.

Tribal DBB kicked off the partnership by developing and implementing a lively new take on the Webby People’s Voice Awards, which is hosted on Aol at http://webby.aol.com through April 29th. The agency tapped renowned designer Shepard Fairey’s creative studio, Studio Number One (www.studionumberone.com), to create original icons and illustrations for the campaign.

As part of the marketing campaign encouraging the public to vote, Tribal DDB designed customized real-time banner ads showing standings in Webby categories across various Aol sites. To further spread the word, Tribal DDB’s creative team incorporated social media tools allowing voters to automatically share their votes with their followers on Twitter.

Tribal DDB is also overseeing the design and user experience of the The Webby Awards YouTube Channel, which showcases and houses voting for Online Film and Video Nominees in the Webby People’s Voice. Tribal DDB will further enhance the channel for the “Watch the Webbys on YouTube” event, giving fans all over the world a front row seat to the 14th Annual Webby Awards gala on June 15, 2010.

Additionally, the agency is serving as the lead creative team for Webby Awards campaign logos and all printed materials and motion graphics for the June 14th Webby Awards gala.
