Managing DirectorAs Managing Director of The Webby Awards, Ciel leads strategic efforts of The Webby Awards, collaborating with the creative team to recognize and celebrate the best work and most creative creators on the internet.
Ciel is an award-winning digital media executive with nearly two decades of social media, marketing, branded content and live digital production experience. Prior to joining The Webby Awards, Ciel served as Vice President of Social and Digital Events at MTV Entertainment. In her previous role, she led social marketing and content for MTV Entertainment’s biggest tentpoles including the MTV Video Music Awards, Unplugged and the CMT Music Awards.
Claire Graves
President | @ClaireGravesAs President of The Webby Media Group Claire leads a team dedicated to celebrating the very best of the Internet each year.
As President of The Webby Awards, Claire leads the team that runs; The Webby Awards, The Lovie Awards and the companies latest initiative The Anthem Awards which recognizes social impact work. Together the awards receive nearly 20,000 entries from all over the world. Individually, each award is the most prestigious in its field.
Claire started her career running around the streets of SoHo in the London Advertising industry.
Prior to moving to New York she managed the strategic design and build of brand websites and communications for consumer brands at the digital agency Poke London. A History graduate from Edinburgh University, Claire proudly hails from Adelaide, South Australia, and now lives in Brooklyn with her family. Her favorite yoga pose is savasana.
Steve Marchese
Chief Production Officer | @SteveMarcheseAs Chief Production Officer at Webby Media Group, Steve has led production duties on fifteen live Webby Awards cycles and last year’s digital Webbys From Home.
He has also been fortunate to lead a number of initiatives including Internet Week New York, Internet Week Europe, The Lovie Awards, and the Architizer A+ Awards for Recognition Media. He oversees production on the live Webby show, new digital builds, content creation, sponsorship executions and more.
Steve lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son and recently wrapped up production on his first short film, Better Half. He spends part of his free time putting together playlists for his website, oneplaylistaday.com
Emma Whitfield
Production & Experience DirectorAs Production and Experience Director Emma leads production on all Webby events including virtual and in-person. She also oversees the production of creative assets like the Call For Entries Mailer
As Production & Experience Director of The Webby Awards, Emma works on creating a seamless experience for our Webby community and entrants. She is responsible for producing on all events that contribute to the Webby community experience, including: 5-Word Speech Day, Sunset Cocktails and The Webby Awards After Party. Before joining the team in 2015, Emma interned for The Emmy Awards, Entertainment Tonight and The Lovie Awards.
Emma is a graduate from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. She loves to encourage her co-workers to join in Webby workouts and fun team-building activities. A native of England, Emma moved to the states when she was young and now resides in Brooklyn.
