Madison Tevlin, Canadian actress, digital creator, and face of the instant viral video, “Down Syndrome is the Least Interesting Thing About Me,” accepted her Webby and People’s Voice Award for the campaign in a moving exchange with Canadian model and fellow creator, Coco Rocha. Her message? “It’s fun proving people wrong.”

Patrick Starr with the 2022 Webby Best Influencer Award

Taking the stage to honor Drew Barrymore with her Webby win, Patrick Starr shined as a fellow winner at the 26th Annual Webby Awards—taking home the Best Influencer title for his undeniable impact as a pioneering beauty content creator.

Mark Rober Named the 2021 Film & Video Person of the Year

Honoring his exceptional use of online film & video to entertain millions, Mark Rober accepted the Webby Film & Video Person of the Year Award at the 26th Annual Webby Awards. It was a fitting testament to his passion for encouraging learners of all ages to lean into their passions for STEM, and helping people worldwide embrace experimentation as the Internet’s favorite engineer.

Recess Therapy Honored for Plugging the Internet with Joy 

Recess Therapy host Julian Shapiro-Barnum took the stage at the 27th Annual Webby Awards to accept his People’s Voice Award for Best Web Personality/Host. With his 5 Word Speech, “Uplift Children. Celebrate Pure Joy,” his onstage moment was a touching reminder of the power of bringing positivity to online spaces.

Abi Marquez Snagged a 2024 Webby for Social Excellence

Voted by the Internet for being the fave in our Food & Drink category for Social, Abi Marquez—A.K.A. Lumpia Queen—was the first independent Filipino content creator to win a People’s Voice Award! She dedicated her incredible win to her heritage, saying ”Philippines, This Is For You.”

Mythical Kitchen Honored for Taking Food Content to Another Level 

Host Josh Scherer took the stage on behalf of the viral series, Mythical Kitchen, to accept their second People’s Voice Award for producing the year’s best cooking series online. Honored for bringing meals from our wildest dreams to life, he asserted what should be the very limit—”Don’t Put Twinkies On Pizza.”

Effin’ Birds Won the Public Vote for its Beloved “Weird” Social Presence

For “Once Again Violating Community Guidelines,” the hilarious social media sensation Effin’ Birds took home the People’s Voice Award for “Weird” during last year’s competition. His 5-Word Speech perfectly encapsulated how he pushes the boundaries of humor on social, charming fans for his irreverent takes on life and the quirks of everyday moments.

Tika the Iggy Recognized at the 27th Annual Webby Awards

Known for donning the cutest looks on everyone’s feeds, Tika the Iggy took the Webby stage last year alongside her dad and the brilliant mind behind her account, Thomas Shapiro. The Montreal-based dogfluencer was voted by fans to win the People’s Voice Award for being the year’s best and most beloved dog presence online.
