The 4th Annual Tech Industry Index is a roundup of the five tech companies creating the world’s best digital work. Ranked in order, the index highlights the companies with the most success in the 26th Annual Webby Awards, across wins, nominations and honors. Additionally, we’ve highlighted a few pieces of work by each. created the year’s best, and most innovative storytelling. These five teams are shaping the nexus of technology and creativity.
BY THE NUMBERS:
- Apple absolutely stole the show during the 26th Annual Webby Awards. They received the most recognition of every company that entered, with 27 wins, 16 nominations and 10 honors in the competition.
- Apple performed well across our Apps and Software categories with their iconic products like Apple Card, Apple Pay and Apple Fitness. Their internal marketing team was also recognized for their work across Podcasts and Newsletters.
- We witnessed an uptick in advertising and digital marketing entries, including Time to Have Hulu Campaign to Lenovo’s Get Got by a Gran.

The educational experience uses a combination of augmented, virtual and mixed reality to let viewers watch Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, on the 955 streets in the US that bear the civil rights leader’s name.
