Learn more about each of the six honors and where your work might fit below.

What Are the Awards?

1. Introducing Brand of the Year

We’re thrilled to announce that for the first time, The Webby Awards will recognize culture-defining brand work with the inaugural Brand of the Year award! This new honor will celebrate the brand unafraid to redefine conventions on how to engage audiences through exceptional creativity. Work entered on behalf of the brand, by the company itself and by all partners—agencies, production companies, collaborators and creator partners—will be considered in Brand of the Year calculations.

The selected winner will join former Special Achievement Winners, luminaries including Banksy, Björk, David Letterman, De La Soul, Keke Palmer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Pharrell Williams, Solange, Steven Soderbergh, SZA, Takashi Murakami, and more.

2. Production Company of the Year Award

Celebrating excellence in producing high-quality digital projects, the Production Company of the Year Award will champion the team setting a high standard for digital production across the industry. With considerations across Advertising, Media & PR and expanded categories for Video & Film—including new honors for Limited Series & Specials, expanded recognition in Series & Channels, Branded Entertainment, and more—this award will commemorate the company paving its own path in the production space.

3. Agency of the Year Award

Since 2009, we’ve honored the global agency or shop behind the largest body of Webby-recognized work across all categories as the Webby Agency of the Year. A lot has changed since then, with the marketing space undergoing an exciting creative surge. From technological innovations to imaginative storytelling, highly personalized campaigns to global purpose initiatives, we’re excited to toast the next class of trailblazers shaking up this sector.

The selected company will be honored alongside former Agency of the Year Winners such as DEPT® (pictured above at the 28th Annual Webby Awards), Monks, R/GA, McCann New York, Wieden + Kennedy and more.

4. Podcast Company of the Year Award

Dedicated to honoring excellence in audio, the Podcast Company of the Year represents the team with the most impressive lineup of recognized series across the industry. It’s a special accolade applauding the companies and studios producing the landscape’s most brilliant audio content, joining the ranks of past winners like iHeart Media and Audible.

5. Media Company of the Year Award

To best highlight great digital work being made by media companies, streaming platforms and brand studios worldwide, the Media Company of the Year honors the team closing the competition with the most recognized projects across relevant categories. The streaming platform, entertainment studio or publication with the most compelling work will be selected for this accolade.

6. Network of the Year Award

The Webby Network of the Year Award honors the global network with the largest volume of recognized work in the competition across all teams and divisions. This honor is dedicated to the network of companies that have collectively demonstrated success across all categories. The Award is a testament to the selected recipient’s ability to develop creative digital content on a global scale.

How are They Calculated?

Performance is determined through a point system established by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). Points are awarded based on the number of Honors, Nominations and Winning projects received by a company across all categories. Our Judging Academy will use the information in the “Parent Company” and Individual Credit fields to determine ownership.

Organizations in the running for these awards will be notified during our Nominee Announcement in Spring 2024. The recipients of the awards will be announced along with all Winners of the 29th Annual Webby Awards and showcased as a Special Achievement recipient in our  Winners Gallery + Index.

Have what it takes to stand alongside industry titans? You won’t know unless you enter. Work is accepted across Websites and Mobile Sites; Video & Film; Advertising, Media & PR; Apps & Software; Social; Podcasts; AI, Immersive & Games; and new this year, a dedicated suite of honors for Creators!
