The Best of Roy Wood Jr.

We're excited to announce that Roy Wood Jr.  of The Daily Show and Roy Wood Jr.: Imperfect Messenger, is hosting the 26th Annual Webby Awards on May 16th in New York City!

He's a Great Correspondent on The Daily Show

Since 2015, Wood has been making waves as a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” He regularly demonstrates his intelligence, wit and ability to inject analysis of race, class and gender in big cultural and political moments. Watch Wood’s top 10 moments on The Daily Show below!

He Breaks Down Harrowing Tales of Fast Food Chains

Wood debuted “Father Figure,” his first Comedy Central stand-up special in 2017. In his signature style, he was relatable and talked about everything from Black history museum tour guides, to why fast food restaurants really need to stop charging extra for sauce. Like, stop playing games. Watch Wood explain the story arc of a man just trying to order McDonalds.

He's the Imperfect Messenger to Make Great Points

It can’t be overstated how great Roy Wood Jr. is at making a point that you wouldn’t have considered. In his latest stand-up special, Roy Wood Jr.: Imperfect Messenger, he unpacks why evil white actors are unsung heroes in the racial justice movement, like Leonardo DiCaprio in Django Unchained. Bold behavior. (Contains strong language.)

He Helps Listeners Navigate Job Market

Roy brings his insight and humor to audio in “Roy’s Job Fair,” his podcast by Comedy Central and iHeartRadio. During each segment, he talks with people from all lines of work about the intricacies of, well, work. From their favorite memories to scams they’ve fun at the office, and trying to balance their needs to make money and feel emotionally fulfilled. Listen to “You Is Womens,” episode one of his five-part series to celebrate Women’s History Month!
